December 22nd Day 2 Part 2:
After our belly's were nice and full and we said goodbye to the Doubles we were finally on our way to the land WHERE DREAMS COME TRUE. We still had a 3 1/2 hour drive to Disney. The kids did great and where really excited and then all of the sudden.
Disney World here we come!! Disney World we made it!
Here is the front of our hotel. We stayed at the All Star Sports Hotel. The boys had a blast and we really liked it.
While we were checking in the boys got balloons, mickey mouse stickers and a button that says 1st visit. Joe and I got one also. It's easier to say that this is all our first visits instead of I have been here before but the other three no. Bryson and Carer were so excited.
After checking in the boys and I walked to our room while Joe drove. The hotel we were staying at has different sports themes. Each theme has six buildings. There is Home run, Hoops, Center Court(tennis), Surfs Up, and Touchdown which is where we were staying. Our building was on the right. I have to say we were in awe. Everything was so big. Have you ever seen a soda this big? In between the two sets of football building was an area with large X's and O's the kids loved playing here. Though we didn't really have a lot of time for them to play here.
Bryson got to open the door to our room and the first thing we saw was this... Wow, we really our in Disney World. While we were waiting for Joe we even spotted some hidden Mickey's in the bedspread. Can you find them?
We unloaded the car unpacked our bags and then we headed off to Downtown Disney. We wanted to look around and buy a few things. I spotted a big huge Christmas tree and of course had to take a picture or two or three.
We also had dinner reservations at the very famous Wolfgang Puck's.
Wolfgang Pucks was the best meal we had all week. I have to say that if you are going to Downtown Disney eat at Wolfgang's you will not be disappointed. Our dinning plan was awesome and we got so much food. Joe and I each got our own appetizer. I had the Artichoke and Five Cheese Dip with crispy Parmesan flatbread. Joe had the Barbecue Chicken Quesadilla. For our meals I ordered the Macadamia Nut Crusted Breast of Chicken - Papaya marmalade, micro greens salad and roasted garlic mashed potatoes. Just thinking of it now makes my mouth water. The presentation was wonderful as well. Joe ordered the Grandma Puck's "Bolognese" - Fettuccine, classic meat sauce with veal, pork and beef. Bryson ordered a pizza. Carter was not a part of the dining plan so he ate off all our plates. Trust me when I say we had plenty of food to go around. For dessert I had a chocolate cake one of many for the whole week and Joe had the creme brule. He didn't like it that much. Overall we would go back in a heartbeat. It was a great way to start off dinning in Disney. The kids really enjoyed the desserts.
After dinner we headed back to our hotel to get a good nights rest for our first day at the parks.
Coming up: What park did we go to first? Does Carter finally get to meet Mickey Mouse? How crowded are the parks?
