Recycle Bin Garden

My recycle bin garden is nothing to write home about, but it's what we have here. Our strawberry plant is awesome and we get about two a day. The tomatoes are just starting to grow as is the cucumber plant. We are looking forward to all the goodies.

My recycle bin garden is nothing like my garden in North Carolina. I don't think I ever blogged about my garden in North Carolina because it would have been before I started blogging. Holy Cow. I started blogging in August of 2007 and these pics were taken in June. It wasn't a real large garden but definitely bigger than my recycle bins. I made a horseshoe in part of the yard we didn't use and grew squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers (red, green and yellow), watermelon (the squirels always ate it) and sugar snap peas (they didn't grow).

My Azaleas

When I got back from New Mexico I had a great surprise, my Azaleas had all bloomed. The flowers are now fading and falling off but I have these beautiful pictures to remind me of them to last until next year.

Happy Birthday to....

My one week old seedlings. I have broccoli, red cabbage, sun flowers 3 different varities, bell peppers, jalapeno pepper, serrano chili pepper, cayenne peppers, cucumbers, beans, sugar snap peas, gourd mix, birdhouse gourds, watermelons, vine tomato plant, grape size tomato plant and strawberries.

I have high hopes for my garden. Last year my garden was the talk of the block. I have a lot to live up to, or my seeds do.

I hope my garden this year is just as big or better than last years. But like I said I hope they know what they are in for. Here are pictures from my garden last summer.
