The first day of FALL

I have been waiting for this day for awhile. I thought it was coming early this past Saturday. My friends and I had a garage sale and as we were setting things up at 6:30 that morning there was a chill in the air. We left the garage sale at 8:30 to head to Bryson's soccer game and I do have to say it hadn't warmed up much. Thank goodness the kids were running back and forth and I was doing a lot of yelling. We all stayed pretty warm.

Our team did very well and Bryson scored a goal so he is a dollar richer. There were a few funny moments in the game but from the other team and both from the same kid. The first was he was kicking the ball towards our goal and couldn't seem to get the ball past our goalie so he picked up the ball and threw it in. The second funny thing he did was he scored a point for us. Bryson did very well and played the whole game. He actually ran the field all four quarters. Afterwards he did say his breath hurt. All the kids on our team did very well and I think we are going to have a great season.

Bryson was one of the captains for our team.
Sorry this is a little blurry. I was not ready for him to score a goal. I didn't have enough time to focus the picture so I went ahead and took it. I figure a blurry shot is better than no shot when it comes to your son scoring a point.

He was so excited!!!

Million dollar smile.

After Bryson's game was Carter's, it was a bit more entertaining as Carter would put his head in between his legs and he would push the other kids to try and get the ball. He almost scored a goal twice but kicked the ball just to the side of the goal each time. So close!!

Here is a great series of shots of Carter. You can see how he takes control of the ball and moves it through the other players. Though like I said before he came so close to scoring a point, it just missed the goal.

Here is Carter taking the ball away from the girls.

Then he did this and we knew he was done for the day. Great Job Carter!!!

I am so happy that soon all the changes that fall brings will be happening. My large stinky tree will turn a bright orange and I can't wait. I can't wait for the pumpkin patches and all the fall festivals that will be happening soon. Though as fast as I want the changes to begin I am not ready for the biggest change of all....when my lover, my children's father will begin his long departure from us. We have less than 2 weeks.

My Pretty Tree!!

Last year when we moved into our house we had a bare tree, and I was so sad that I had missed the leaves turning. This year as fall approached I was so excited knowing that the leaves on my tree would be turning beautiful colors. I am amazed at just how lovely the colors turned out.

What do you think?

My Favorite Time of Year

I love fall!!! The cool crisp breeze, the sound the leaves make as they are blown down the street, and the smell of smoke after the first chimney is lit. When October comes it brings fall festivals, pumpkin patches, and Oktoberfest. I don't remember going to these as a child but i love them now. We visited a pumpkin patch yesterday the name of it is West Produce. It is a small mom and pop type of farm. I found out about it through some other moms at Bryson's school.

Come to find out it is a family farm of one of our teachers. Their big fall festival was yesterday so we made our way down there. We all had a great time. They had a band, a petting farm, booths set up for food, face painting, a fire truck and a hay ride. Here are a few pictures of the day. You can click the pictures to make them bigger. We are planing on going to another pumpkin patch next weekend that has a few other things like a corn maze. We will try hard not to lose the boys. (wink)
