My very PINK baby shower

I had an awesome baby shower today. My good friend Leann hosted it with another friend of mine Holly. It was very cute and I had a great time.

Baby girl got lots of cute girly things. I also had the cutest little helper all dressed in pink with her southern bow. Love

Saying Goodbye

Saying goodbye is never an easy thing to do. Most like to see it as a "see you later". The kids and I flew back to New Mexico to do just that. Saying goodbye to my grandparents.

My Poppy was told that he had 3-6 months to live. He just found out he had cancer. I really contemplated just flying down by myself and having a nice trip but Poppy, Gigi, my mother and sister really wanted me to bring the boys also. So 5 months pregnant and with 3 kids we made the 32+ hour trip back home. On the fifth flight a lady even dropped her laptop on my head. It didn't just land flat on my head the corner got me. It was the kind of pain that makes your eyes water without even crying. I was exhausted and so mentally tired.

Once we landed I rented a car and drove an hour to Las Cruces. I wanted to do a bit of shopping before heading back to small Alamogordo NM. After a few days shopping my sister drove to Las Cruces and picked us up then took us back to Alamo.

We had a good visit. We were able to spend some good quality time with Gigi and Poppy. The boys and I ate at our favorite restaurants and we were able to hang out with all my siblings. My good friend Lindsey drove down from Socorro to see me and I got to spend some time with another friend Christina. Each of them giving me lots of baby clothes for our little princess.

I even got the chance to take some cute photos of my little niece Taylor. I will have to post some of those. They are adorable, she was all dolled up in 4th of July attire.

The trip was a good one but bitter sweet. Seeing someone for the last time knowing there will never be a next time is hard.

I took over 600 photos during this trip. Way to many to try and post. The two links below go to my Facebook page and you can see 400 of the 600 :)

We still have a girl so far

While we were home in New Mexico we had a 3d/4d ultrasound done. We knew this would be the only chance Poppy would get to see this baby. It was really bitter sweet. We had the ultrasound done and got quite a few pictures and a dvd. We brought it home and showed the family. We also decided to tell everyone her name.

We decided to name her Bailey Virginia Hudson. I wrote down a list of names that I liked. Joe was suppose to do the same but he hadn't gotten to it yet. I was naming the names down my list and he said he liked Bailey and that was it. She was named. Next was the middle name. We thought about Catherine and Virginia. Catherine is Joe's maternal grandmother, and Virginia is my maternal grandmother. I have a very close and strong relationship with my Gigi. I am so thankful that Joe was fine with naming her after Virginia Imogene Orsak (Akins).

Now all our kids are named after family members and it's even. *grin*

Bryson is Bryson Alexander, Bryson is Joe's fathers middle name. Norman Bryson
Carter is Carter Alan. Alan is Joe's middle name. Joseph Alan
Chase is Chase Turner. Turner was my maiden name and once I got married I dropped my middle name and took on Turner as a middle name.
And now you know the story of our precious daughter Bailey Virginia.

When telling Gigi and Poppy her name they both got emotional. You could see Poppy's eyes well up with tears, and Gigi having Alzheimer's said "That's my name!" The rest of the trip she referred to the baby as her little Virginia.
